Carl M. Truesdale, MD
Dr. Carl M. Truesdale is a Beverly Hills Double Board Certified facial plastic, reconstructive, and otolaryngology surgeon. His advanced knowledge of facial anatomy and his artist’s eye enable him to deliver natural-looking results for all surgical and non-surgical procedures. He truly sees his facial plastic surgery practice as one of his main purposes on earth!
Dr. Truesdale’s life-long passions for medicine, culture, and the arts led him to double major in Biology and Spanish at Morehouse College, where he graduated summa cum laude. He then earned his M.D. at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the top three medical schools in the United States.
Dr. Truesdale completed five years of specialized surgery training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the top-ranked University of Michigan. During residency, he completed a surgical mission to Ghana where he taught surgical techniques, lectured, and performed life-saving procedures.
Dr. Truesdale continued his training by specializing in facial plastic surgery, and completed a facial plastic surgery fellowship in Beverly Hills, CA. He began building his facial plastic surgery practice as a fellow, and decided to plant roots in the Los Angeles area long-term. Dr Truesdale is excited to welcome new and existing patients to his brand new office at 150 S. Rodeo Drive, Suite 360 in Beverly Hills, California.
Dr. Truesdale is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has authored and presented multiple peer-reviewed papers at national meetings.
Dr. Truesdale maintains his commitment to language and the arts, and is described as a “modern-day renaissance man,” with talents not only as a skillful surgeon but also as a portrait artist, musician, and pilot.
Jessica Tkacs RN, BSN, MSN, APN-C
Nurse Jess is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner at Truesdale Facial Plastic Surgery. Graduating with a Masters in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Jessica’s medical career started in New Jersey where she specialized in cardiothoracic surgery.
Her move to Southern California in 2020 launched a new direction into aesthetics and plastic surgery. Prior to joining Truesdale Facial Plastic surgery, Jessica worked on the renowned Cedars Sinai heart transplant team. She joined Doctor Truesdale in 2022 and it was here that she combined her surgical background with her love for aesthetics. With specialized training by Doctor Truesdale, Jessica targeted her craft as an injection specialist, taking pride in proper dermal filler and neurotoxin injection technique.
For Nurse Jess, when it comes to finding the perfect balance of beauty there is no such thing as a cookie-cutter approach. Every face is a fresh canvas with unique structure, movement, and individuality. She loves analyzing each patient’s anatomy and educating them throughout the way on the science of restoration techniques. Nurse Jess constructs a personalized treatment plan that is in alignment with the patient’s desires. She believes in achievable, realistic goals.
In addition to injectables, Nurse Jess performs Morpheus8 skin treatments, chemical peels, vampire facials and more. You can trust Nurse Jess to deliver elegant and natural results.
In her spare time, Nurse Jess loves to be outdoors – running, hiking, and rollerblading with her family and friends. She loves to take weekend trips and explore new restaurants and cities around the country.

Juliana is a proven business leader who combines a decade of management consulting experience with formal training as a life and career coach. She is currently the Vice President of Truesdale Facial Plastic Surgery, one of the most successful and fastest-growing facial plastic practices in the country. She has worked with Fortune 100 pharmaceutical and healthcare companies on their mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives, as well as helping leaders and employees thrive through times of change. Her passion is helping good people achieve more in less time, with less stress.
Juliana graduated summa cum laude from Spelman College, and holds a M.A. from The University of Pennsylvania.
